one album from technology that rarely ever before gets speak about. In mine opinion it's quite overlooked, which might be as result of the beats, but I personally favor them. The album together a totality has a dark, dreamy sound that would seem favor it's coming from the west, yet it's coming from the midwest.. WTF right? The laid back vibe works really well through Tech's bizarre rapid rapping style. He sounds much different than his afterwards stuff. Ns prefer early on Tech more, not due to the fact that his topics are different, but because he just doesn't seem together corny. Recently I'm not feeling the shit he does, but all of the shit the spits here is vintage. The whole album has Tech ripping shit up. I seriously can't get sufficient of his remarkable rapping here. The energy is non stop. The producers on here aren't big names yet I think the simple drums job-related well with the dark night time elevator melodies. There room a couple inconsistencies here, tracks 6 and 7 and also the opening track, however there room 3 standard bangers to make up for it. Sure the album is a small long, yet it stays pretty regular for the whole listen and also the sound doesn't adjust too much. Although, "Now It's On" doesn't have the dark sound come it (kind of a surprise after every the laid earlier tracks) as it's much more energetic sounding. This is one album the is quite hard to gain into. It might seem boring in ~ first, yet if you store listening friend will get into the songs over time! now it's an album ns love. An exciting listen and also it is much better than his newer material. Quit gift a sleeper and check the damn thing out. Who cares if the beats are "generic", they occupational fine here. Not rather as good as his following one, "Anghellic" yet not too far behind!
I never would have expected other such together this from Tech. This is favor a mix of E-40 and Mac Mall, no strange sufficient to it is in 40, no gangsta sufficient to it is in Mall. Anyway, technology does the West coastline thing, yet not yes, really gangsta nice well. No MDMA recommendations that ns noticed, Caribou Lou was at a minimum, an the beats were heavy ass base g funk love. Also, the Petey Pablo choruses space missing, so i really appreciated this shit, just sounds choose a specifically skilled West album.
The title of first Tech N9ne release "The calm prior to the storm" couldn't describe far better the whole vibe the this album. That shows just how His music and also style progressed from album to album. This was just the calm and an easy stuff if you to compare it come the later storm top top "Anghelic". There's a solid and deep G-funk sound on totality this release. "Planet rock 2K" sound a little bit various and more experimental prefer His later on stuff, however there aren't plenty of unique sound on this cd, and also it's not the very same like in the future albums. This is straight and simple West coastline g-funk sounding stuff, and it sounds great!! tech doesn't show His mad skills over here, he is an ext calmer and also it fits good for the deep basslines. His stunner spitting rhyming style will shocked anyone later, because that "The Calm... " the prefered to keep things like this and He made a an excellent choice. As whole I really appreciated His early on stuff, it's just a little bit differrent or maybe simply standard item of laboratory from Tech.
